Basic Biographical Details

Name: Thomas Edward Patrick
Designation: Architect
Born: 23 May 1915
Died: 12 January 2004
Bio Notes: Thomas Edward Patrick was born on 2 May 1915, the son of Thomas Francis Lawrie Patrick, commercial traveller, and his wife, Josephine Price. He served his articles in the office of the architect and builder Sir James Miller from April 1932 and in September of that year he enrolled for the Certificate Course at Edinburgh College of Art. In October 1937 he began the Diploma Course there and completed this in June 1939. He was nominated as an honorary fellow of the Scottish Chapter of the Institute of Clerks of Works in 1961. In 1968 with the arrival of addiditonal partners the practice title changed to Mottram Patrick Whitehorn Dalgleish & Partners.

Patrick died at Pittendreich Nursing Home, Lasswade on 12 January 2004. His wife, Dorothy Baird Malcolm had predeceased him but he was survived by at least one son.
