Born: Before 1843

Bio Notes: Robert Crawford was born in Airth, Stirlingshire c.1803, and was in practice with S Crawford, evidently a brother, between 1843 and 1851. At the time of the 1861 census he was unmarried and living at Great Wellington Place, Paisley Road, Glasgow with three nephews, probably S's sons, of whom the eldest, John (born 1834) was also an architect, and the youngest, Robert W (born c.1849), was an architectural apprentice. He appears to have retired to Ardenslate, near Dunoon in Argyll and subsequently died in the same year, 1861.
