Bio Notes: Hubert Walter Wandesford Fenwick was born on 17 July 1916 in Glasgow, the son of an episcopal clergyman, and was brought up partly in Scotland and partly in New Zealand; he did not complete his architectural studies until after the Second World War, thereafter briefly obtaining a place in Ian G Lindsay & Partners. He was admitted ARIAS in 1964. He subsequently concentrated on writings, his best known book being 'Architect Royal: The Life and Work of Sir William Bruce', published in 1970. He lived for a time at 12 Randolph Crescent, and later at the Priory, Pittenweem. In 1978 he was trasferred to the retired category of the RIAS.

He died in 2003.
