Bio Notes: Ernest Milbourne Swinnerton Pilkington was born in Wakefield Yorkshire on 30 December 1858, the second son of Lionel Milbourne Swinnerton Pilkington, Baronet of Nova Scotia and Deputy Lieutenant whose ancestral home was Chevet Hall, Wakefield and his wife Isabella Elizabeth Georgiana Kinleside.
