Bio Notes: James Anderson was born about 1810. He practised as an architect in Glamis and would appear to have been estate architect there in the 1880s and presumably earlier. In the Census of 1851 he is described as architect and postmaster.

He died on 2 February 1884; his wife, Charlotte Murray died on 14 January 1898.
