Bio Notes: Margaret Robertson Mathers (Mrs Margearet Robertson Sutherland) was born on 8 August 1913, the daughter of Robert Pirie Mathers, surgeon, and his wife, Dinah Eliza Smith. She studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London from October 1932 until July 1937, passing the qualifying exam at University College, London in the latter month. She then returned to Dundee where she joined Maclaren Soutar Salmond as assistant two months later.
