Basic Biographical Details

Name: Henry ('Harry') Alfred Wardrop
Designation:
Born: 4 May 1858
Died:
Bio Notes: Henry ('Harry') Alfred Wardrop was the third of James Maitland Wardrop's four sons and brother of Hew Maitland (Montgomerie) Wardrop. Harry was born on 4 May 1858 and although nothing is known of his training he appears to have emigrated to New Zealand in 1879. He returned in 1881 to become an English land agent but in or about 1886 seems to have returned to the Wardrop practice at 19 St Andrews Square then being run by his older brother Hew with Robert Rowand Anderson as partner and to have worked on the designs for alterations at Pitmedden House which were proposed at this time.

No further details of his life and work are yet known.
