Bio Notes: _____ Smith worked in partnership with Robert Wright Senior and Robert Wright Junior in Edinburgh from 1838. He may be identifiable with George Smith. The Wright & Smith practice continued after the death of the elder Wright on 28 September 1839. It kept the business of the National Bank of Scotland, which it had obtained in 1836, until 1844, its patronage subsequently passing to Archibald Scott.
