Bio Notes: James Lindsay Ross was born at Belhaven Terrace, Wishaw, on 11 September 1878, the son of Malcolm Ross, draughtsman, and his wife, Jane Miller Lindsay. He was in practice at 50 Main Street, Wishaw from at least 1924 until the outbreak of the Second World War. He presumably took obver his father's practice.

James Lindsay Ross died at his home in Cambusnethan Parish aged 74 on 17 June 1953. He had been married twice, first to Mary Miller and seond to Sarah McGin Baker
