Basic Biographical Details Name: | James Osborne Craig | Designation: | | Born: | November 1888 | Died: | 15 March 1922 | Bio Notes: | James Osborne Craig was born in Barrhead, Renfrewshire in November, 1888. He was briefly a student at the Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College, 1904-1905, and emigrated to America at the age of sixteen in 1905, where he became a pupil of Thomas MacLaren. He returned to the United Kingdom and served his articles in London just before WWI. He later commenced independent architectural practice at Santa Barbara, California where he was in charge of the restoration of the de la Guerra Plaza.
He died on 15 March, 1922 at Ojai, California.
