Bio Notes: James A Knox commenced practice at 4 South Albion Street, Glasgow c.1870. He was living as a lodger at 158 Woodland Road, Glasgow in the census of 1871. He formed a partnership with John Halley c.1874. Knox disappears from the directories in 1876, but the practice name remained Knox & Halley until c.1880 when Halley practised in his own name only.
