Bio Notes: Francis Henry Fitzgerald was articled to William Williamson, latterly of Williamson & Inglis of Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy, in 1895, attending evening classes at Kirkcaldy Science & Art School under William Wilson. He remained as an assistant for some time after completing his apprenticeship, before moving to London in 1902 to join the LCC Architects Department. He was still in the latter office when he was admitted ARIBA on 3 December 1906, his proposers being William Williamson, William Edward Riley and John Slater. His nomination papers state that prior to that time he had travelled around Scotland and to Belgium, chiefly Bruges, as well as sketching and measuring in London and its environs.

He died on 17 November 1965.
