Bio Notes: George Burnet was born on 12 July 1852, the son of John Burnet Senior. He was educated at the Collegiate School, the Western Academy and at the Universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Heidelberg. He became an advocate and Sheriff of Aberdeen, Kincardine and Banff. When he was twenty-three he appears to have acted as assistant to John Burnet senior as he exhibited a design for the central pavilion of the Western Infirmary in 1875.

George Burnet died on 31 January 1901.
