Bio Notes: Walter Scott was born in India and educated in England. He passed the qualifying exam in 1882 and emigrated to Shanghai in 1889 as assistant to Morrison & Gratton. He was taken into partnership in 1899, the practice title changing to Morrison, Gratton & Scott, but left three years later to form a partnership with W J B Carter. Carter died in 1907; Scott in 1917.
