Bio Notes: Louis Gustave Mouchel was the British-based representative of Francois Hennebique. His civil engineering firm, based in London, employed a core staff of architects who were responsible for any works requiring architectural treatment, such as bridges, industrial buildings and power stations. He worked closely with Salmon, Son & Gillespie from 1904 when the Salmon firm received the commission for Lion Chambers, Glasgow and were investigating the possibilities of reinforced concrete.
