Basic Biographical Details Name: | Kathleen Elsa Cornelius | Designation: | | Born: | 20 January 1897 | Died: | 3 April 1976 | Bio Notes: | Kathleen Elsa Cornelius was born on 20 January 1897, the youngest daughter of Francis and Eliza Cornelius of Blundellsands, and a niece of Frederick Brice Hobbs of Liverpool. From October 1926 she studied at the Architectural Association in London and served as 'draughtsman' with Burnet, Son & Dick from November 1931 to April 1932. She sat the final exam in the Spring of 1931, the diploma in May 1932 and the professional practice exam in July of that year. She was admitted ARIBA in late 1932, proposed by F P Hobbs, Howard Robertson and J___ Austin.
She died on 3 April 1976 by which tome she had been awarded the MBE.
