Bio Notes: Edwin Paul Wheeler was born in 1874 and practised in London. In 1899 he joined the LCC architects' department (housing section) later transferring to schools. In 1935 he was appointed to the post of Architect to the Council and Superintending Architect of Metropolitan Buildings. He retired on 10 April 1939 after 40 years' service with the Department.
