Bio Notes: Leonard Martin was born in 1869 and served his apprenticeship in the office of John Giles. On completion of his apprenticeship in 1890 he commenced independent practice in partnership with Henry John Treadwell, remaining with him until Treadwell's death in 1910. He was admitted FRIBA in 1902.

He undertook military service with the National Guard and the Royal Engineers, and after the First World War he practised alone until 1929 when he entered into partnership with E C Davies. Davies continued the practice after Martin's death at the end of 1935.
