| Bio Notes: | Gordon Maitland was a nephew of James Maitland and Andrew Maitland II, and grandson of Andrew Maitland Senior of Tain. He worked for the family firm of A Maitland & Sons in the early years of the 20th century, but post-war practice had little appeal for him: he left Tain to study sculpture in Paris and died there in 1933. |
