Bio Notes: Ian McKerron Begg studied for the diploma in architecture at Edinburgh and was elected ARIBA in 1951. He worked for Williamson & Hubbard from the late 1940s and after qualification worked as an assistant with Neil & Hurd. He was a partner in the firm after it became associated with L A Rolland & Partners. Begg became interim director of Edinburgh New Town Conservation Committee around 1971/72. He retired in December 2009.

Begg was elected FRIAS before 1984.
