Basic Biographical Details

Name: Thomas Arthur Lodge
Designation: Architect
Born: 1888

Bio Notes: Thomas Arthur Lodge was born in 1888 and studied at the Architectural Association Schools from 1905 to 1909. He was articled to Thomas Geoffry (or Geoffrey) Lucas for one year and remained for a year as assistant. Later he was assistant to Martin & Medlicott. He appears to have been in partnership with Thomas Oliphant Foster and Percy Wells Lovell c.1910, the partnership being dissolved in or before 1914 when Foster left for India.

In 1923 Lodge was taken into partnership by Henry Vaughan Lanchester and Lucas. Lucas withdrew from the partnership in 1930; its title then became Lanchester & Lodge.

Lanchester died on 16 January 1953 in London. Lodge continued the practice under the existing name thereafter.
