Bio Notes: Alexander James Wilson Morrison was born on 16 October 1907 and commenced his studies in October 1924 at the Edinburgh College of Art. After two years of day classes he joined the office of Dick Peddie & Walker Todd in September 1926, remaining there until August 1931. He undertook his final year at the College from 1931 to 1932 and was admitted ARIBA early the following year, his proposers being Walker Todd, John Begg and John Jerdan. At that time he was working for Jerdan's firm, James Jerdan & Son, at 12 Castle Street, Edinburgh, and was living at 4 Hampton Terrace.

Morrison died in Newcastle in 2004, his death being registered in July.
