Bio Notes: Downie, whose first name has not yet been identified, was practising in Kirkcaldy in the mid-nineteenth century. He may have been related to James Downie, the builder who erected Kennoway House to Robert Hutchison's design in 1833, and may also have been related to Archibald Downie who practised in St Andrews in the 1880s and 1890s (see separate entry).
