Basic Biographical Details

Name: Joseph Gordon Davis (or James Gordon Davis)
Designation:
Born:
Died: After 1848
Bio Notes: Joseph Gordon Davis was either born or practised in London. However the only work he is known to have undertaken is located in Scotland.

He may be the same Joseph Gordon Davis who applied for a license for a house (for opening it as a public house) on the corner of Hugh Street and Kenilworth Street, Belgrave Road, Pimlico, London but his application was refused on the grounds that it was not usual for the license to be granted to a builder and the house was unfinished. He seems to have worked in partnership with McNab as Davis & McNab in the mid-1830s.

He probably died after 1848 when this application for a license was made.
