He practised in Elgin in the early 1950s but by the mid-1950s he was at Clochan in Banffshire. He took over the practice of Alister J Morrison probably in the mid-1950s on the death of Morrison and practised as Alister J Morrison & Co. The practice incorporated C C Doig's practice. He was a member of the Inverness Chapter of the RIAS. He was still in practice in Elgin in 1984.
He died in August 2000.
