Bio Notes: Roland Walter Lines was born in Aldbury, Hertfordshire, England on 14 March 1877. He emigrated to Canada in 1906 and settled in Edmonton. He designed many buildings in Edmonton, a golf course and a church. He served with the Canadian Engineers reaching the rank of Lieutenant and died whilst on active service on 9 September 1916. He is buried in the Albert Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France.
