| Bio Notes: | Nothing is yet known of Mathew Hunter except that he designed the Robertson Stewart Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Rothesay. He may or may not have been Scottish. In Wills & Testament there is a Matthew Hunter who was the 'late manager' of the gasworks in Rothesay. He was perhaps an engineer by training and therefore had a hand in designing the hospital. This Matthew Hunter died sometime before 12 November 1874. |
