Bio Notes: William Reid was born in Newton-on Ayr in 1875, the son of William Reid, mason and his wife Agnes. He trained as a mason with his father but by 1901 is described as a master builder. He became Ayrshire County Architect in the 1930s. He died in 1959. No further details of him are yet known.
