Bio Notes: After the death of Edinburgh architect Robert Reid Raeburn on 7 February 1888, his practice was continued by George A Lyle, who was presumably his principal assistant, although nothing is known of his background. By 1895 the practice title had been changed to Lyle & Constable, Lyle having taken William Constable (born 1863) into partnership.
