Bio Notes: Lindsay Ingleby Wood was born on 4 March 1872, the eldest son of John Wood, Bramerton Lodge, Carlisle. Nothing is yet known of his professional training but he commenced practice in the Peddie-owned building at 122 George Street, Edinburgh c.1899.

Wood had marked antiquarian interests, being both author and illustrator of 'Vanishing Edinburgh and Leith' (published c.1904) and wrote on pewter, on which he was an 'outstanding authority', for 'The Connoisseur' in 1902-03 before publishing his own book 'Scottish pewter-ware and pewterers' (c.1905). In the autumn of 1905 he organised the Edinburgh Architectural Association's exhibition, 'Architectural Refinements' but died on 30 January of the following year, 1906. He was buried at Dean Cemetery.
