Basic Biographical Details Name: | Charles Robert Tod | Designation: | | Born: | | Died: | 2005 | Bio Notes: | Charles Robert Tod was the son of Alexander Stewart Tod, master of works on the Wemyss estate. In 1946 he was articled to his father's future partner Archibald Welsh. He subsequently practised as a surveyor. He succeeded his father in the Wemyss estate post on the latter's death on 9 January 1964. After Welsh's death soon thereafter, the Welsh & Tod practice became Stewart Tod & Sons, although Charles's brother Stewart Tod Junior remained an associate in David Carr's practice which he had joined in 1955.
