Born: 1872

Bio Notes: David Waterston was practising in Glamis in 1899, presumably with James A Ferguson who was architect to the Strathmore Estate.

By 1912 he had been appointed architect to the Glamis Estate. He in turn appointed Thomas McGarrigle to take charge of an office in Kirriemuir from May to September that year, and Waterston himself moved there to set up independent practice some time before 1920. By the 1950s the practice had become Waterston & Graham, though Graham has not yet been identified. The main office was in Forfar.

Waterston died on 20 March 1952. He was survived by his wife and his daughter.
