Bio Notes: George Gordon Hoskins practised in Darlington. He arrived there as Clerk of Works on a project by Alfred Waterhouse. He was a Quaker and used his Quaker connections to build up a large practice in Darlington. His major commission was Middlesborough Town Hall which he secured after a competition. The practice was continued by his brather Walter with F Brown.
