Bio Notes: Herbert Frederick Tomalin was articled to William Hull of Northampton from 1878 to 1882, remaining as assistant until 1885 when he commenced independent practice in the same town. He emigrated to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in the following year, working in various government departments and being appointed conservator of forests in 1915. He returned to England c.1922, living in Ross-on-Wye, and he died in 1944.
