Name: William Richardson

Bio Notes: William Richardson exhibited designs for villas from 48 India Street, Edinburgh in 1869-70. That exhibited in 1869 was described by the Builder as 'large enough to be styled a mansion. It was one of the best examples of Gothic applied to domestic purposes produced north of the Tweed. There is no exuberance of detail and the proportion and distribution of the parts are well-considered'. He seems to have moved to Manchester by 1876.
