Bio Notes: Sidney Barnsley was born in Birmingham in 1865, the brother of (Arthur) Ernest Barnsley (born 1863). He was articled Richard Norman Shaw from 1886 and studied at the Royal Academy Schools. He was a member of the firm of Kenton & Co, and became a prominent Arts and Crafts architect-craftsman in the Cotswolds, working in association with his brother and Ernest Gimson in Sapperton, Gloucestershire. He died in 1926.
