Bio Notes: Ernest Gimson was born in Leicester on 21 December 1864 and was articled to Isaac Barradale, attending classes at Leicester School of Art. He worked as assistant to John Dando Sedding from 1886 to 1888, and later became a prominent Arts and Crafts architect-craftsman in the Cotswolds, associated with Ernest and Sidney Barnsley. He died in Sapperton on 12 August 1919.
