Bio Notes: William F Rollo Wilkie was born in 1858 in Perth, the son of William Wilkie, printer compositor, and his wife Agnes Rollo. He practised in Edinburgh from the late 1870s. He is recorded as a draughtsman in the Census of 1881, probably in the office of Shiells & Thomson. An advertisement appeared in the Scotsman for the sale of a villa in Polwarth Terrace with his name as a contact and the address 65A George Street, the business address of Shiells & Thomson. However at the same time he seems to have had an independent practice at 122 George Street.

Part of Wlkie's business was acting as agent in the sale or letting of properties. In 1895 he advertised shops and houses at Tanfield for sale or for let. In 1891 he was involved in a court case. A builder raised an action against Andrew Loutitt, manager of the Heritable Estate Company and Rollo Wilkie as he claimed he was owed a greater share of the profit of the sale of property on ground at Graham Street, Bonnington which he had built.

Wilkie's wife was Elizabeth Winifred ___.

Wilkie may have emigrated to Brisbane, Australia in 1901.
