Bio Notes: John Joseph Railton was the son of the Kilmarnock architect, William Atkinson Railton and his wife Isabella whose maiden name was also Railton. John worked out his father's office at St Marnock Place.

Railton died aged 90 on 7 November 1952. He never married.
