Bio Notes: Sir David Menzies was the owner-occupier of Plean Tower in the early 20th century, and as an amateur architect carried out extensive and somewhat eccentric additions and alterations to the building, inscribing his name and armorial bearings liberally on lintels, arches and chimneypieces in the process.
