Bio Notes: George Arthur Farrar attended Huddersfield Technical College and was articled to Abbey & Hanson and remained as assistant. Thereafter he moved to the office of Francis Eldred Lodge Harris and then to Charles Heathcote & Sons. He took the post of Director of the Admiralty Works Department at Rosyth sometime between 1906 and 1914. He had passed the qualifying exam and was elected ARIBA on 3 December 1906, his proposers being Charles H Heathcote, J M Woodhouse and J W Beaumont.
