McLachlan acted as agent in the sale of four houses at Blackhall , 4, 5, 6 and 7 Keith Terrace. He was briefly in partnership with George Kay Green from about 1897 to 1899. W H McLauchlan was based at 14 Hill Street, Edinburgh in 1900 when he exhibited a design for buildings at East Calder. He disappears from directories after about 1908.
