Bio Notes: William Ross McKelvie was born in Wigtownshire in 1826. He was an engineer and surveyor rather than an architect. He held the post of Superintendent of Parks & Cemeteries in Greenock from the 1860s and moved to a similar post in Dundee in 1863. He formed a partnership with A McCulloch c.1880 in Dundee, and appears to have been living at Myrtlebank, Hermonhill, Dundee at the time of his death on 2 April 1893.
