Bio Notes: Willian Ruxton was born at South Artrochie, Logie Buchan. He went to Aberdeen when a youth and was articled as an apprentice to the late Mr J. Matthews (Watt and Mackenzie). He practiced in Aberdeen for 30 years and had offices at 84 Union Street. He designed numerous commercial properties in Aberdeen, and several schools, churches and similar buildings in the north of Scotland. He retired about a year before his death.

In the last 20 years of his life, he was a member of the Management Committee of the Aberdeen Conservative Club. He was unmarried.
