He was reccommended to the Trustees' Academy by Hugh James Rool, WS. He entered the Academy on 14 October 1851 aged 15 and left 12 July 1852. No further details of him are yet known.
He moved to London to work as a stained glass artist. His house was at 40 Fitzroy Square, St Pancras, London and he died at the Harp Hotel, Dover, Kent on 7 July 1872.
