Bio Notes: Thomas Denville Barry was born in 1815 or 1816 and was a pupil of H Prosser. Barry established a significant reputation as a designer of cemetery buildings in the north west of England with designs for Toxteth in Liverpool (1856), Anfield also in Liverpool, Preston and St Helens in the later 1850s. He was in partnership with John Murray in the early 1850s and was Engineer to the Board of Health and Waterworks, Leamington in 1868. In the 1870s Barry was in partnership with his sons as T D Barry & Sons. He died in 1905.
