Basic Biographical Details Name: | James Pigott Pritchett | Designation: | | Born: | 14 October 1789 | Died: | 23 May 1868 | Bio Notes: | James Pigott Pritchett was born on 14 October 1789 at St Petrox, Pembrokeshire. He was articled to James Medland of Southwark and subsequently worked in the office of Daniel Asher Alexander for two years, studying at the Royal Academy Schools in 1808. He commenced independent practice in London in 1812. He soon moved to York where he worked in partnership with Charles Watson (c.1770-1836) from 1813 to 1831. He was architect and surveyor to Earl Fitzwilliam at Wentworth Woodhouse.
Pritchett died on 23 May 1868.
