Bio Notes: George Alexander Lawson was born c.1836, the son of David Lawson of City Chambers, Edinburgh. He entered the Trustees' Academy at the age of twenty on 22 July 1846, recommended by John Tait architect. He left the Academy on 12 July 1853. No further details of him are known.

He may be the FGeorge A Lawson who designed an ette of Robert Burns whioch is in the Auld Kirk of Ayr.
