Basic Biographical Details Name: | Wright & Smith | Designation: | | Born: | 1838 | Died: | | Bio Notes: | Robert Wright Junior was the son of Edinburgh architect Robert Wright, who died on 28 September 1839. He may have gained some experience with George Angus who supervised the building of Netherbyres, Berwickshire for Captain Sir Samuel Brown RN in 1836. In the same year the Wrights obtained the business of the National Bank of Scotland, and by 1838 they were in partnership with an unidentified Smith, perhaps George Smith, as partner. The Wright & Smith practice continued after the elder Wright's death, but did not retain the bank as a client beyond 1844, its patronage subsequently passing to Archibald Scott. | Private and Business AddressesThe following private or business addresses are associated with this : | | Address | Type | Date from | Date to | Notes | | Edinburgh, Scotland | Private | | | |
