Bio Notes: Hugh Ker (sometimes spelled Kerr) was presumably the son of Hugh Ker who built Annan Academy to Thomas Brown's design in 1820. He practised at St John's Place, Annan from at least 1855 until at least 1894. He is described in his will as 'builder and contractor'. He died at Annan on 1 December 1897.
